My contribution to basketball is simply this:
The height of each basket shall be adjusted so that it is precisely four feet above the head of the tallest player on the team that is shooting at that basket.
 
I had originally written a page or two of justification, but I figure if the sensibleness of such a rule isn't obvious, there's not much hope.
I'll just say that, hereafter, when a team recruits a really tall player, that player had better be really talented to balance out the added burden he places on his teammates.
