Explanation of symbols:
" = trill, generally starting on upper neighbor. On 8th and dotted 8th
notes, consider a shorter, 3-note figure - main note to upper neighbor
and back to the main note.
, = mordent, main note to lower neighbor and back to the main note.
In m17 and m18 I think the mordent on fret 8 goes down to fret 7. Correct
me if I'm wrong.
Octave doublings: To connect a musical line on the modern guitar, or fill out
the texture, consider adding the octave above the bass. For example, see:
m65r6-m66r1.
Leading measures in Guerau's original tablature:
1 13 24 33 44 56 65. Last measure is 72.
Note: Guerau indicated the rhythm change at m25 with a large "9/8" along
with the words "Sexquinona. O Nonupla." In proper modern notation, we would
indicate triplets rather than a time signature change.
